Former Deputy Director-General of the Public Security Intelligence Agency (retired in 2022). During his tenure at the Public Security Intelligence Agency, he primarily worked on counterterrorism operations against domestic and international terrorist organizations such as Aum Shinrikyo and Islamic extremists, as well as intelligence collection and analysis focused on East Asia, including the Korean Peninsula and China. As a member of the government’s intelligence community, he also engaged in government intelligence activities. In recent years, he has devoted himself to uncovering the realities of harmful activities against Japan, particularly in the context of economic security, including the outflow of advanced technologies, investments and acquisitions that hinder security, and information theft in cyberspace. He is currently a researcher at the Economic Security Management Agency, a general incorporated association.
